MR Snail Pin

This piece explores repetition as a structure rather than a flaw; the spiral shell acts as a visual model of recursive processing, where movement doesn’t escape the system but folds back into itself, layer by layer, building density over time. The distortion of colour and form introduces controlled instability, simulating the way perception shifts under sustained attention, where boundaries soften, patterns amplify, and the distinction between signal and noise becomes less fixed.Rather than representing stagnation, the snail becomes a carrier of process; slow, continuous, self-contained motion, where progression is not linear but accumulative.
